The Mental Landscape series is a practice of painting from memory.  A practice where anything can arise.  Anything is allowed.  Surprise, surprise, surprise...  And so, a tulip is not a tulip, but a memory of many tulips, and peonies, and dahlias combined into a unique, imaginary plant.  A person is not exactly someone you have met before, but many faces, many feelings, and many expressions. Experience translates into impressions.  Impressions are expressed
